EssMile Privacy Policy

1. The short version

• EssMile keeps your vehicles, fill-ups, service records and settings only on your phone.
• There is no account, no ESSPRY server that receives your data, no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting tools, and no AI service. EssMile does not track your location.
• The one outside service we use is RevenueCat, which handles in-app purchases and subscription status together with Apple and Google. It receives limited purchase-related technical data (section 4), not your vehicle or fuel data.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or tracking.

2. Who we are

ESSPRY LLC ("ESSPRY", "we", "us") publishes EssMile. ESSPRY does not receive or hold the content you put into EssMile. It stays on your device and under your control. ESSPRY's own information about you is limited to what you choose to send us (for example, a support email) and what we can see through RevenueCat, Apple and Google (section 4).

3. What EssMile stores on your device

EssMile stores the following locally on your phone (in the app's private storage):

• Vehicle details you enter: name, and optionally make, model, year, licence plate, starting odometer and service intervals.
• Fill-up records: date, odometer, fuel volume, cost, and whether the tank was full.
• Service records: date, odometer, title, cost and optional notes.
• Your settings (units, currency) and small bookkeeping values used for reminders.

None of this is sent to ESSPRY and we cannot see, recover or restore it. If you delete the app, lose your phone or reset it, the information may be lost. Your phone's own backup (iCloud, Google backup) may include app data depending on your device settings, which Apple, Google and you control.

PDF service history (Pro). The PDF is created on your phone. When you export it, EssMile hands the file to your phone's share sheet. Where it goes after that is your choice (for example email, Files, or a printer) and is governed by the app you pick.

4. Third parties

RevenueCat (in-app purchases), service provider. EssMile uses the RevenueCat SDK to show purchase options, process purchases through Apple's App Store or Google Play, check whether the Pro plan is active, and restore purchases. RevenueCat acts on our behalf as a processor. To do this, RevenueCat receives:

• an anonymous app user ID that RevenueCat generates for your installation (EssMile has no accounts and does not give RevenueCat your name or email);
• purchase and subscription information from the store (such as which product, purchase and expiry dates, and store receipt data);
• technical device and app information needed for the service (such as app version, operating system, store, country or region). Like any internet service, RevenueCat's servers also see your IP address when your device contacts them.

This contact happens whenever the app checks Pro status or loads purchase options, even if you never buy. EssMile does not send RevenueCat your vehicles, fill-ups, services or anything you type.

Apple and Google. Purchases are made through your Apple ID or Google account and are governed by their terms and privacy policies. ESSPRY does not receive your payment card details. We may see limited, aggregated sales and subscription reports in App Store Connect and Google Play Console.

No others. EssMile contains no advertising networks, analytics SDKs, social SDKs or crash reporters. If that changes, we will update this policy before the change ships.

5. Permissions

• Notifications: optional. If you turn on reminders, EssMile schedules local notifications on your phone (a heads-up 7 days before a service is due and on the due date at 9:00, and a notice when a logged fill-up or service puts you near or past a distance-based service point). These are created and shown by your phone. No server or push service is involved and EssMile does not obtain a push token. You can turn them off in your phone's Settings.

EssMile does not ask for your location, camera, photos, contacts or microphone.

6. Children

EssMile is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We operate no accounts and receive no user content, so we hold nothing about a child's use of the app. If you believe a child has contacted us, email support@esspryllc.com and we will delete it. This statement is intended to meet COPPA and the GDPR's rules for children (GDPR-K). Purchases require an adult account holder on Apple or Google.

7. Retention and deletion

• Your vehicles and records: kept on your device until you delete them. Delete a vehicle or entry in the app, use "Delete all my data" in Settings, or uninstall the app, which removes the app's stored data from the device. Uninstalling also clears EssMile's scheduled notifications.
• Purchase data at RevenueCat, Apple and Google: kept under their retention rules. To ask us to request deletion of RevenueCat records for your installation, email support@esspryllc.com. Because purchases are linked to an anonymous ID, please include your Apple or Google order number if you have it, so the record can be located. Apple and Google keep purchase records for tax and legal reasons regardless of the app.
• Emails you send us: kept only as long as needed to answer you and meet legal obligations.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Turkey's KVKK (Law No. 6698), or similar laws. These include rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, port your data, and complain to your regulator.

In practice: nearly all your data is on your device and you can view, edit and delete it yourself in the app. For the small amount of purchase-related data handled by RevenueCat or the stores, email support@esspryllc.com and we will respond within the time required by law (generally 30 to 45 days) and help route the request to RevenueCat, Apple or Google where they hold the data.

• California: we do not sell or share personal information as defined in the CCPA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
• EU/UK: For the limited data described in this policy, ESSPRY LLC is the controller (contact details below). For purchase-related data the basis is performing our contract with you (delivering Pro) and our legitimate interest in running the app securely.
• Turkey (KVKK): you may apply to us under Article 11 of KVKK using the email below.

9. Security

Your data is protected by your phone's own security (screen lock, device encryption, app sandboxing). Contact with RevenueCat uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, and because we hold no copy of your data, keeping your device secure and backed up matters.

10. International note

ESSPRY LLC is a United States company. Your EssMile data stays on your device wherever you are. RevenueCat, Apple and Google may process purchase-related data in the United States and other countries; see their policies for transfer safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. For a material change we will update the effective date and, where required, notify you in the app or on the store listing before it takes effect. The current version is always at https://legal.esspryllc.com/carlog/privacy.
